Alternative Healthcare Access Campaign's Action Committees


Fundraising Committee

This committee is responsible for raising funds through grants, direct solicitation, and events. The fundraising committee makes sure that AHAC acquires the money it needs to continue its mission. Committee responsibilities include developing programs, campaigns and events to solicit direct and in-kind donations, and grant writing and development.

Current Projects:

Supply Committee

This committee is responsible for acquiring and tracking the supplies needed for AHAC to function. AHAC uses supplies in client treatment, administration, and client tracking. The Supply Committee insures that AHAC has the supplies to function as an organization and that practitioners have supplies that help them provide more effective care to clients. This committee often collaborates with the fundraising committee. Positions could include: Current Projects:

  • Soliciting donations from companies, providers, stores, reps.

  • Finishing inventory of what is at the Frye.

  • Communicating on a monthly basis with Site Coordinators about what supplies are needed to be stocked at each site.

  • Making PSKS ready for LMPs.

  • Distributing supplies at the Frye to all sites each month.

  • Responding to Tent City’s urgent supply needs.

  • Meeting and building up capacity of committee

Networking/Outreach Committee

This committee is charged with educating and recruiting new practitioners and volunteers to provide free services at all of our sites. The committee will respond to the pressing and changing needs of the organization. Currently we are prioritizing new ND's and LAC's.

Current Projects:

  • Presenting at local alternative healthcare conferences and meetings.

  • Outreach to local Acupuncturists.

  • Outreach to WANP.

  • Recruitment of new practitioners.

Publicity/Marketing Committee

This committee is responsible for creating AHAC materials, increasing community awareness of the organization. Projects include newsletter, creating buttons, t-shirts, stickers and promotional items, web site updates and enhancement, and maintaining list serv. Site Committee

The Site Committee is made up of the AHAC Site Coordinators. Site Coordinators provide monthly site reports to the SC. Primary tasks include:

  • Aiding the Steering Committee in maintaining current sites, including assessing site needs and requesting support as needed.

  • Developing new sites, orientations for new volunteers, and Training new site coordinators
